Alexandra is a German Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for the Greens/EFA group, serving since 2019. She leads Politico’s 2025 ‘10 to Watch’ list, recognising her growing influence on EU digital policy. Her work focuses on digital democracy, sustainable digitalisation, and gender equality, with a particular emphasis on platform regulation and the Digital Services Act. She is a full member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM), and a substitute on the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO). She has also served as a coordinator for the Greens in the Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence (AIDA) and the European Democracy Shield (EUDS) committee.
